  • Ant-proof pet dish - During ant season, place a tray or high lipped plate under your pets food dish and fill with water to add an ant barrier.
  • Bubbles - Combine 1/3 cup clear liquid soap, 1/2 gallon water and 1 tablespoon glycerin, let sit overnite.
  • Cleaning copper - Use equal amounts of lemon juice and white vinegar, add salt and dip copper in solution. Add more salt to make paste for a copper rub.
  • Liquid soap tops - Use spout as a handle to hold on to while scraping pots and pans clean.
  • Remove lead from surface of brass (cleaner) - 2 parts Glacial Acetic Acid (distilled white vinegar 5%) to one part hydrogen peroxide 3%. Swirl for 10 minutes then rinse. Makes brass a "gold" color, use tongs or gloves.
  • Shower caps (from hotels) - Use to cover bowls (with no lids) of food in refrigerator.
